Leiths Education delivers accredited cookery qualifications and life-skills courses for enjoyment, employment and life. Their interactive digital portal supports in-person cookery classes, providing secure access to teacher and student resources including skills videos, coursework submission, and progress tracking across phone, tablet and computer devices.
The challenge:
Leiths required a complete rebuild of their digital portal to better support the delivery of in-person cookery classes. The new platform needed to incorporate lessons learned from previous iterations while enabling seamless access to resources, photo evidence uploads, weekly evaluations, and coursework completion for students and teachers across schools nationwide.
Our approach:
Working in close collaboration with the Leiths team, we delivered the project in three phases:
- Phase 1 – scoping & design: We worked closely with Leiths to scope and design requirements for the new platform, incorporating lessons learned from previous portal iterations.
- Phase 2 – development & rollout: Our UK, Singapore and Myanmar development team built the Education platform in 2-weekly sprints and rolled it out across UK schools. Key features included teacher onboarding and class management, content delivery including video, student coursework and lesson submissions with photo evidence, teacher ratings and feedback, and dashboards with course progress reporting for both teachers and students.
- Phase 3 – ongoing Support: Since launching the Leiths Portal in August 2023, we have provided ongoing support and maintenance, developing small feature enhancements to expand product functionality.
The results:
The new Leiths Education platform successfully launched across schools nationwide, providing teachers and students with streamlined access to resources and coursework tools. Beyond the portal, we rebuilt the Leiths Education website and continue working closely across the wider Leiths Group to transform their company-wide digital strategy.
