The Opportunity
Existing third-party feeds were slow, unreliable, and costly, limiting performance and innovation. The client wanted greater control over their data platform and the ability to build a more reliable, scalable foundation that could support advanced processing and future machine learning capabilities.
The Solution
Elemental Concept worked closely with the client to design and deliver a modern, Kubernetes-based infrastructure as part of a wider data platform transformation. We migrated their existing AWS ECS deployment to Kubernetes, enabling cloud agnosticism, standardisation, and improved operational resilience.
The work included developing Terraform to provision infrastructure, identifying and removing cloud-native dependencies, integrating with existing monitoring tooling, and ensuring the platform could be supported under strict operational requirements. Our deep domain knowledge in large-scale sports betting systems allowed us to move quickly, prove feasibility, and build confidence that a more reliable solution was achievable.
The Results
The client now operates a modern, scalable infrastructure capable of supporting mission-critical data workloads with improved reliability and control. The Kubernetes-based platform provides a future-proof foundation for continued innovation, and Elemental Concept have since been contracted to support the environment on a 24/7 basis under strict SLAs.
